It was a quite expensive hobby to start, but yet I started it because i was just really attracted to the models. You give me a model, I might be able to stare at it the whole day!

Truthfully speaking, I wasted a lot of time in the hobby. And you know what, all the time wasted is just to choose which army I wanted to play with! At first, I wanted to play with the 'bad' guys, hence I have the power to choose from the Xenos (Tyranids, Orcs,), or the powers of Chaos (Chaos Space Marines, Chaos Daemons). My preferred style of playing is to go close combat against my opponent, hence Tyranids and the Chaos factions will be a good choice.

However, I don't want to play with a horde army, and I feel that Tyranid models are hard to paint (I don't have much confidence in painting that time...). Secondly, I was attracted to the Daemons range of models (I'm the type that chooses his army based on the model's appearance), especially the Bloodletters of Khorne. Since Chaos Daemons met both of my requirements, I finally made a decision to start playing them.

I bought a box of Bloodletters as a start, and tried a few proxied games with my friends. At first, I found it quite interesting, but later I found out they are actually very unforgiving. Any mistake you made during deployment will cost you the game. Because of this, I was very demotivated and stopped playing them.

"The first army that I've chose to play due to their nice appearance and my playstyle"

Since then, I still maintain my 'bad guys' route, and changed to the mortal followers of Chaos- the Chaos Space Marines. At least, this army was way forgiving than Daemons. This time, I was even crazier in terms of buying models. I bought the Renegade Strikeforce instead of starting with small units. Nevertheless, I got an instant army, but now I have way too much models to paint and assemble as well. I even got a box of Khorne Berzerkers as my birthday present.

After countless times of list building, I found out that the lists I built will always have leftover points. You may say this is normal, but for me it isn't. If the leftover points are 5-10 points, then I don't mind. But imagine you have odd numbers as you leftovers, for me it's really a pain in the 'arse'. I don't like to waste points, and now you're giving odd points as leftovers? No way man!

That caused me another few hundreds of Ringgits. Luckily this time, I managed to offload most of the models in the box (including the low demand Defiler). Hence the lost was not that bad (but still, it's a loss).

"Nice fluff, flexible choices, Nice looking models also, but odd point costs. It's a no for me."

After one whole year of time wasting, I've finally found an army that suits my playstyle, cost-friendly, nice models, and forgiving as well. Enter the Space Wolves. Before I decided to play them, I borrowed the codex from my friend, and started reading it non-stop. After days (or maybe weeks) of reading, I really think that Wolves portrays my style the best in WH40K.

After some more book reading and brain-jamming, I managed to make a balanced list. In fact, I've tested the list and I liked it! As a start, I shared a Space Wolves Battleforce with my friend (he took the Drop Pod and the Scouts, while I took the remaining 20 Space Wolves). I haven't started to build the army yet, because I'm still having my exams. After my exams are over, it's time to start building up the Wolves!

"Nice models, forgiving army, suits my style, and most of all, cheap plastics (^_^). Although it's my 3rd army (if you count CD and CSM as my 1st and 2nd army (-_-") "

There are still Daemons and Chaos Space Marines stuff with me, and I'm looking forward to change them into Space Wolves products. Now I totally gave up on Chaos Space Marines, but I'm a bit reluctant to sell my Daemons, because I still like that army, and I'm foreseeing myself to complete them.
